This week I am looking forward to performing with the South Florida Symphony Orchestra. We will be performing @Delray Center for the Arts in Delray Beach, Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West, and Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The AMBER FLUTE QUARTET is a chamber group for showcasing Baltic women flutists and contemporary (mostly Baltic) composers interested in exploring the magic of a quartet of flute voices.

Complimentary wine & appetizers will be served during intermission. We'll also enjoy a slide-show by the wonderful photographer Daiga Lorena.
The concert is organized by the Latvian Heritage Foundation and The Baltic American Society of New England. It is part of a concert tour organized by the Latvian Cultural Association TILTS ( "Bridge"), Inc., with additional support by the American Latvian Association (ALA).

Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the concert: $20; students and senior citizens: $15; kids free

Elzbieta will be a participant at Pender Island Flute Retreat in Canada. It is going to be an exciting week!


The flute studio recital begins at 7:00pm at Arlington High School in room 324. Students will perform works for flute and piano by Enescu, Faure, Bach, Handel, Telemann, and Mozart. The recital is free and open to the public. Reception to follow.


Elzbieta is giving a DMA Lecture Recital and Performance of Flute Compositions by John Heiss. In Program: "Sonatina" for Flute and Piano, "Etudes" op. 20 for solo flute, and "Soliloquy" for flute and piano. The Lecture Recital Start at 3pm at the BU College of Fine Arts School of Music, room 216. This Lecture is free and open to public.

April 06, 2010BU at Symphony Hall: "The Restless Spirit: Music of Johannes Brahms"

The Boston University Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Chorus, under conductors David Hoose and Ann Howard Jones, will perform the music of Johannes Brahms in Boston's historical Symphony Hall.
The concert will feature performances of Nänie, Alto Rhapsody, Schicksalslied, and Piano Quartet in G minor (orchestrated by Arnold Schoenberg).
Tickets: $25 general public; $10 student rush at the door on the day of the concert; one free ticket with a BU ID at the door on the day of the concert.
